This became necessary because comments were made on the various pages and so they could not be tracked properly. Comments should now be made at the BOTTOM OF THE PAGE “FORUM & COMMENTS”, if you want other people to see them and reply (or directly to me at fmpatorni@earthlink.net) . I have disabled the comments feature on the other pages. The comments that you made on various pages in the past are in my personal log, I will try to shift them to the new page, but until then the old comments will remain on the page where they were originally made.

I reply directly to the comments by e-mail to the sender, as well as occasionally through this website.

  1. Etienne is my grandfather. I am related through his daughter, my grandmother, the late Melinda Delgado de Lacassagne, who married his son Paul.

  2. etienne lacassagne came to santa fe by 1869. and he died in 1939? correction: etienne was my great grandfather. his son paul was my grandfather, and he died in 1939. i don’t have my notes on this! but i will get back to you. i did a paper on the lovato v lacassagne dispute over properties in santa fe where the clay was being used by etienne’s company to supply bricks for the penitentiary. t. catron and a.b. renehan took sides. at the end of 24 years, both parties could not pay the lawyers and etienne lost his brick company–brilliant man, illustrator, businessman; had the contract to build the south tower on cathedral, and designed the floral ribbing on the ceiling. did several paintings, and a reredos in the church in pecos. lawyers split the disputed land between themselves and bishop pitivale! work is in the archives in santa fe. paul went into advertising, leaving many co trademarks, signage in sf and southern colorado.
